My work is rooted in the belief that we are wired for connection, and that the quality of our relationships with ourselves and with the people closest to us shapes the quality of our lives.

Life will always bring hardship in one form or another. But when we experience genuine connection through those challenges, we find resilience, healing, and meaning.

I believe we all deserve a life filled with rich, authentic, and meaningful connection. A life where we can celebrate and struggle out loud, where we can share our deepest feelings, experiences, fears, and hopes without feeling alone.

The world we live in places enormous pressure on us to perform. It encourages us to present a polished version of ourselves while hiding the parts that feel uncertain, messy, or painful. Over time, that pressure can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and from the people we care about most. Keeping up the appearance that everything is okay, and sometimes even perfect, can become exhausting.

My goal is to offer a different kind of space.

I strive to create a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you can set performance aside and simply be yourself. I believe healing happens through relationship, and therapy offers a unique opportunity to experience what it feels like to be fully seen, heard, and understood.

No judgement. Just truth.

My approach to therapy is informed by both my training and my deep belief in the healing power of secure relationships. I earned my Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where I specialized in clinical work with individuals, couples, and families.

In my work with individuals, I draw from attachment and psychodynamic theories to explore how early experiences, significant relationships, and unconscious patterns continue to shape emotional life today. Together, we'll develop a deeper understanding of these patterns, not to dwell in the past, but to create greater freedom and choice in the present.

With couples, I have advanced training and am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, attachment-focused model that helps partners strengthen their emotional bond and create lasting change. Guided by the EFT model, I help couples recognize and understand the negative cycles that keep them feeling disconnected while creating new emotional experiences that foster safety, trust, and a deeper sense of connection.

My hope is that our therapeutic relationship becomes a place where you feel safe enough to be honest, authentic, and vulnerable about whatever your life or relationship looks like right now.

Together, we'll explore what has brought you here, make sense of the patterns that may no longer be serving you, and create space for new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don't have to face it alone.

Therapy is not about becoming someone different. It's about reconnecting with who you are and building relationships that allow you to live more fully.

Outside the Office

Becoming a therapist was a career change for me. Before entering this field, I worked in journalism and television production for many years. While I valued many aspects of that work, I found myself continually drawn to questions about human psychology, emotions, and relationships. The moments that stayed with me most were those when I felt immersed in real, deeply human stories, or when I had the rare opportunity to sit behind the camera and ask questions like “What are you looking for?” or, “Can you help me understand why you do what you do?”

My background as a writer and producer continues to shape the way I practice therapy. I help individuals and couples explore the stories they tell about themselves, creating space for reflection, gently challenging limiting beliefs, and supporting them in rewriting narratives that no longer serve them.

As a licensed social worker, I work hard to remain mindful of the profound influence that our environments, systems, and social contexts have on these stories. Integrating this broader perspective into my work is an important part of how I help clients make sense of their experiences and create meaningful change.

I spend a lot of my time thinking about stories… both the ones we inherit and the ones we have the power to rewrite. If I’m not thinking about stories, I’m most likely exploring somewhere new or curled up with my 20-pound rescue pup from Puerto Rico, Goose, who is the absolute love of my life (and if we’re meeting virtually, is almost always in the background of our sessions snoozing on the couch).
